McDurmins mother went to the group home on Sunday and was informed that her daughter left to go to the store and never returned. McDurmin has Aspergers Syndrome and although she is verbal and able to talk, she is unable to make rational decisions, Williams said.
Birmingham Police have asked for the publics assistance in locating a missing 22-year-old woman with Asperger Syndrome.
Whitney McDurmin, of Birmingham, was released from Grandview Medical Center on Thursday and was placed in a group home in the city. When her mother visited the group home on Sunday she learned Whitney had not returned from a trip to the store. Whitney may be trying to travel to Montgomery, Birmingham Police officers believe.
