A 95-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon in a two-alarm fire on Harlow Place on the citys East Side, fire officials said.
"We dont like to do this. Our job is to save people. We take it as a personal loss when we dont do that. The guys did a great job in being able to get her but unfortunately, it was too late, said Paul Graham, Buffalo Fire division chief.
He said fire investigators estimated the damage at $255,000 to the residence, and said that two neighboring houses incurred exposure damage estimated at $15,000.
