Elderly woman who died in fire identified
The victim has been identified as 96-year-old Mary Parks. Her cause of death is listed as smoke inhalation. 

The firefighter who pulled her from the flames suffered burns on his face. Another firefighter was also burned, and a third twisted his knee. Their injuries are minor and theyre expected to be OK.

"We dont like to do this. Our job is to save people. We take it as a personal loss when we dont do that. The guys did a great job in being able to get her but unfortunately, it was too late, said Paul Graham, Buffalo Fire division chief.

A 95-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon in a two-alarm fire on Harlow Place on the citys East Side, fire officials said.

Graham wasnt able to say Monday whether there were working smoke detectors. The fire has been ruled accidental.
