Candle light vigil held for Cape Coral woman who went missing – Fox 4

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – The Cape Coral Police Department has released a statement saying two investigations, missing mother Diane Ruiz's disappearance and the death of Kristine Melton, could be connected.

During the investigation into the death of Kristine Melton at a home located on Tudor Drive, Cape Coral detectives were able to identify a person of interest, according to police. Melton was a waitress at Duffy's.

The person of interest in these investigations is in custody on unrelated charges, according to the statement.

No further information has been made available regarding the two investigations' possible connection.
