Rustard sent an email to Belles containing a link called "Hazing, When Adults Look the Other Way" just a week before the incidents were reported to police.

Freshman were targeted by varsity football players who referred to the new students as "fresh meat."
A police document submitted to the court says parents first contacted James about the allegations in November 2016. It cites a follow-up meeting at which parents told James that a boy alleged penetration, according to the police statement.
According to court documents, the underclassmen were called “fresh meat” and the object of the initiation was the strip them down and insert fingers of objects into their anuses.
