Motorcyclist killed in Durham crash
A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a car just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Durham police said.

The accident happened at the intersection of Holloway Street and South Woodcrest Street. Police said Holloway Street is expected to be closed for several hours between Rochelle and Adam streets.

The name of the victim had not been released as the police Traffic Services Unit continued its investigation.

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A motorcyclist died in a collision with a car on Sunday evening in Durham, police say.

The wreck was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Holloway and South Woodcrest streets, according to a news release from Durham police.

The wreck is the second deadly motorcycle crash in central North Carolina this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, the driver of a car turned in front of a motorcyclist in Fayetteville, police said.
