FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — A major announcement involving investment at the Fort Wayne General Motors Assembly is set to take place Thursday.

The chairman and CEO of General Motors will join federal, state and local officials for a morning news conference.

Investigators believe the armed robbery and death are related and are asking anyone with information to call police at 260-427-1222 or Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867.

We’re working to learn what kind of investment is being made, but the assembly has been a solid performer for GM.

A police investigation is underway after officers found a woman they said died from gunfire at a south side Fort Wayne apartment complex early today.
