Two NJ communities grieve for couple killed in crash on the way to their wedding in Pittsburgh
She will be remembered for her voracious appetite for reading, love of cooking, and trailblazing new adventures with Joseph, Schurtzs obituary in the Star-Ledger read.

The city of Fanwood, N.J., where Schurtz grew up and her mom formerly served as a city councilwoman, announced her death on Facebook over the weekend. The 35-year-old lived in Jersey City while working at Oracle Data Cloud in New York City. She is survived by her parents, two sisters and a 3-month-old nephew.

The accident left the couple dead and three others injured after the driver of a tractor-trailer couldn't slow the vehicle down for traffic. The tractor-trailer slammed into the couple's car causing a chain reaction crash that ultimately involved four other tractor-trailers in addition to the couple's vehicle, LehighValleyLive.com reported.
