Victor Parsons, 29, was last seen running toward the Western Heights public housing complex from Beaumont Avenue after leading officers on a chase across town, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
Parsons is the only suspect identified in the double-shooting, reported shortly after 7 p.m. on the 5000 block of Rowan Road. Neither victims name has been released and their conditions were not immediately available Monday.
Parsons is wanted in connection with a homicide reported early Sunday in DeKalb County, Georgia, according to KPD.
Police issued an alert shortly after the Rowan Road shooting, warning residents to be on the lookout for a silver Mercury Grand Marquis.
Officers soon spotted the vehicle on Cherry Street. The driver sped away, striking a 13-year-old boy who was riding a scooter along Linden Avenue.
Officers with multiple law enforcement agencies attempted to establish a perimeter and search the area with police dogs, as well as a bloodhound from the Union County Sheriffs Office.
Anyone with information on Parsons whereabouts is asked to call E-911 or KPDs crime hotline at 865-215-7212. Callers can remain anonymous.
