LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Police confirmed they are investigating a homicide that took place on Thursday night.

The initial information provided was that a man had jumped out of a moving vehicle. Officers and Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived to find Talbot down in the street. They began lifesaving efforts. Talbot was transported to a local hospital where he died at 9:16 p.m.

LPD said just before 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, officers were called to area of 14th and Judson on a call of a man jumping from a moving vehicle, and a body was discovered laying on 14th Street.

LPD said crime scene investigators have been examining evidence, and have determined the crime was not random, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

In addition, Lincoln Police said around 1:30 a.m. Friday they spotted a vehicle they said they believe is connected to the homicide.

As the vehicle continued and nearby officers responded to help, a second vehicle, police said is also connected to the investigation, was spotted near Antelope Valley and O streets.

Officers stopped the second vehicle near 23rd and Vine, and three occupants inside were taken in for questioning.
