LPD posts reward for information on people who killed man in Central Lubbock apartment
The reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of suspects involved in the murder of 20-year-old Tyshaun Bates has been increased to $10,000.

Lubbock Police officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Lubbock Square Apartments in the 4600 block of 50th Street back on April 10th.

According to an LPD News release, it appears 2 black men entered the apartment and got into an altercation with Bates. At some point during the altercation, one of the men shot Bates.

Kerby and Wade Law Offices has dedicated an additional $5,000 to the original reward, bringing the total possible reward up to $10,000.

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward for information that will lead to the identification and arrest of the two people who murdered 20-year-old Tyshaun Bates in his Central Lubbock apartment on April 10.

Police report two men entered Bates apartment in the Lubbock Square apartment complex, in the 4600 block of 50th Street, and got into a fight with him, before one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him.

When emergency officials officials arrived they took Bates to the hospital where he later died. LPDs Metro Special Crimes Unit and the Texas Anti-Gang Center are investigating this case.
