Montgomery County Police and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Randolph Road at Goodhill Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. for reports of a serious bicycle and vehicle collision.
Anyone with information on Hernandez or her son’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000 or the Special Victims Investigations Division at (240) 773-5400.
Police say the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Randolph Road approaching Goodhill Road. A 2019 BMW M240i was also traveling in the same direction.
The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, crossed the westbound lanes of Randolph Road in a southwest direction and collided with the BMW, according to police.
SILVER SPRING, Md. (WJZ) — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department are asking for help locating a missing Wheaton teenager and her two-month-old son.
The bicyclist died at the scene. His identity will be released pending the notification of his family.
Yale Abraham Tankus, 57, of Silver Spring, was identified as the driver of the BMW. He was not injured in the crash.

WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a missing teenager and her baby.
Fifteen-year-old Wendy Orvelina Hernandez and her 2-month-old baby, Jason Hernandez, were last seen by their family on Tuesday around 6:30 a.m.
The family told police that Hernandez and the child were last seen together leaving the home on Valleywood Drive on foot.
Wendy Hernandez is described as a Hispanic female, 4-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Jason Hernandez is described as a Hispanic male, with black hair and brown eyes.
