nAuthorities are asking for the public’s help as they search for a 28-year-old Newark man who allegedly stabbed his 33-year-old girlfriend multiple times early Monday.

The woman is in critical condition at University Hospital, Newark police said in a statement.

Aaron McKinnon, 28, fled after the stabbing took place on the unit block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in the city around 3 a.m.. 

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of McKinnon is asked to call  the city’s Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-695-8477 or 1-877-695-4867. All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.

NEWARK, NJ — A 33-year-old Newark woman is in critical condition after being stabbed during a domestic violence attack on Monday morning, police say.

Police responded to the report of a domestic violence incident on Martin Luther King Boulevard shortly after 3 a.m. The suspected assailant, Aaron McKinnon, 28, of Newark, allegedly stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the residence, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

The victim is receiving treatment at University Hospital and is listed in critical condition, authorities said Monday.

Newark police released the below photo of McKinnon, who is still at large.
