AUSTIN (KXAN) — The entertainment acts at Austin’s Formula 1 keep getting bigger and bigger. After headliners Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake took the stage, who else can stand up to them? Bruno Mars. Yep, that guy.

Mars most recently appeared on the 60th Grammy Awards for a show-stopping performance of his hit single “Finesse” with fellow chart topper Cardi B. Mars also swept the awards that night, taking home the seven Grammys he was nominated for, including Album of the Year (“24K Magic”), Record of the Year (“24K Magic”), Song of the Year (“That’s What I Like”), Best R&B Performance (“That’s What I Like”), Best R&B Song (“That’s What I Like”), Best R&B Album (“24K Magic”), and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical (“24K Magic”). Mars’ 60th Annual Grammy wins make him only the 10th artist to win the “Big 3” (Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year) in the same night, following Simon and Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, Norah Jones, and Adele.NEW DATES – BRUNO MARS 24K MAGIC WORLD TOUR:

Prior to his Austin date, Bruno Mars will have two shows in Dallas. The music superstar is riding high after dominating at the Grammys earlier this year. He was up for six awards and won all six.

Mars, fresh of having won Album of the Year and Record of the Year (and six awards in total) at the Grammy Awards for his collection 24K Magic, hits the arena on Sept. 22 and 23, as part of his North American tour with his “Finesse” collaborator Cardi B in tow. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale to Friday, February 16 at noon at LiveNation.com; no word on prices yet, though predictably there are tickets already being sold on StubHub starting at $239 U.S.

KXAN has reached out to COTA regarding the date, but no announcement has officially been made from the Austin venue.

In 2016, when Taylor Swift performed at the U.S. Grand Prix, almost 270,000 people were in attendance that F1 weekend.

Mars has also won 11 Grammy Awards and swept the top three categories – album, song and record of the year – at this year’s ceremony. He’s only the 10th artist to take home the big three in one evening, landing him in exclusive club alongside Simon and Garfunkel, Carole King, Eric Clapton, the Dixie Chicks and Adele (who did it twice).Related Articles Justin Timberlake adds second September show at Xcel Energy Center TU Dance and Bon Iver add fourth show to sold-out Palace Theatre run Jason Mraz to play Minnesota State Fair Grandstand St. Paul band Coach Said Not To will reunite for first show in a decade Tickets on sale: Journey and Def Leppard, Justin Timberlake, Paul Simon
