RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities are investigating a homicide in Richmond after a man was found shot on Monday.

Police reported to a convenience store, located at the intersection of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Carver Street, after getting a call for a person down at 1:36 p.m.

Officers arrived at the 1600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike and located a male victim who had been shot.

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Richmond police are looking for witnesses to a rush hour shooting that occurred Monday.

Police said the call for a shooting came in at 5:22 p.m. in the 400 block of Westover Hills Boulevard.

A man was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
