ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – Rochester Police have identified the man connected to several shootings Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers began chasing Blake near Emerson Street. During the pursuit, he fired several shots out the window at officers while driving a U-Haul truck. The pursuit eventually stopped on Frances Street in front of his family's home. That's where Blake crashed into a driveway and soon after died. A firearm belonging to Blake was also recovered at the scene.

Around 9:30 a.m., a 28-year-old woman, believed to be the Blake's ex, was shot and killed on Post Avenue near School #16. Another man also suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the upper body. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
The Rochester City School District tweeted that students at School #16 are safe and the school was placed on a lockdown.
Police are also investigating a second shooting on Frances Street where the suspect shot his 20-year-old son. The victim, who was not immediately identified by police, suffered minor non-life threatening injuries. Nearby School #25 and School #33 were placed on a lockdown.
In a statement, the district said they experienced some transportation delays, due to the ongoing investigation. They are making every attempt to drop children off at his or her usual location. In the event that they are unable to drop the child off at his or her usual location, the bus will continue on the route and will return at a later time. If, at that time, they are unable to drop off a child, they will call the number they have on file to establish a pickup point.
