Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – Police are investigating a shooting that happened near the RTS Transit Center Friday morning.
A 23-year-old man was shot one time in the leg, while standing on the sidewalk outside the center, according to police. Hes expected to survive.
Police said the victim went inside the Transit Center to seek help and shelter immediately after, and was provided with aid.
The center remains open; it was never closed. RTS says the Clinton Avenue side of the facility is closed temporarily, but all routes are still on time.
Were told the suspect and victim knew each other. Police said it was an isolated incident that did not have anything to do with the bus terminal.
