Both directions of state Highway 17 in unincorporated Santa Clara County are currently closed after a solo-vehicle crash resulted in at least one pole blocking the roadway and one arrest, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said the crash was reported at 12:49 p.m. in the southbound direction at Idylwild Road. Although the CHP couldnt confirm that any wires were down, PG&E was enroute to the scene as of 1:50 a.m. One woman was arrested but no further information on the arrest was provided. There is no estimated time of reopening for either direction.

1 dead, 1 injured in early Sunday morning crash on 15 Freeway in Corona

The 15 Freeway in that stretch has a dirt divider between northbound and southbound lanes, with some trees visible on Google Maps.

Cal Fire/Riverside County, which placed the scene a bit north of the CHP location, at Cajalco Road, said two vehicles were involved, with one person dead and one with minor injuries taken to a hospital.

The later CHP called a SigAlert for the southbound 15 Freeway at the crash site. Just after 8 a.m. two lanes were open for traffic, with only the No. 1, or fast lane,  still closed.
