White Castle, home of the iconic "slider" hamburger, says the grand opening for its first restaurant in Arizona will be October 23.
The company broke ground in April on the restaurant, which will be located in the Talking Stick Entertainment District.
White Castle was recognized by Time Magazine as the most influential burger of all time. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and serves breakfast at all hours.
The state’s first White Castle is set to open in Scottsdale on Oct. 23. It has hired 130 people since the Ohio-based company announced plans for it in August 2018.
The restaurant at The Block at Pima Center, a new retail development at Loop 101 and Via de Ventura near Talking Stick Resort, will open at 8 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
White Castle, founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 1921, operates in 13 states with nearly 400 locations, most of which are open 24 hours a day.
