Forget a stadium, Kenny Chesney going smaller in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – He sells out huge stadiums with ease, but this time, Kenny Chesney is going smaller with a concert in Grand Rapids in 2019.

Fresh off his 2018 stadium tour, the country music superstar will be getting more intimate with fans in 2019, performing in arenas. Chesney will be at Van Andel Arena on Saturday, April 6. Ticket prices and an on sale date have not yet been announced.

“No Shoes Nation rocked me so hard last summer,” Chesney says of his “Trip Around the Sun Tour, “and they reminded me how much more these songs become when you play them for the people who live inside them every day. I love everything about the members of No Shoes Nation, so to change things up, I thought, Why not bring the music to them?”

So instead of doing about 20 stadiums in 2019, Chesney will perform in 11 arenas on his “Songs for the Saints Tour.”

“We have played the stadium in Louisville several times, but in really looking at this notion, I wanted to give them something more intimate,” Chesney explains. “This tour is going to really feel like a club show and put the music front and center. Its why were going to Oklahoma City, Albany, Lincoln and Jacksonville next year. Go to No Shoes Nation, and bring them the songs where they live.”
