Triple H leading the behind-the-scenes charge, and DRAKE MAVERICK shifting the kayfabe focus to Cruiserweight Classic-esque in-ring competiton which highlights the rosters strengths, has energized the internet fanbase. But even watching at home, its a drag to hear minimal noise from the seats during even the most thrilling sequences of a hot match.
Live reports back up what were seeing and hearing on the stream, too. Heres Pro Wrestling Sheets Ryan Satins view of the Feb. 27 crowd in Los Angeles:

Keeping a couple big SmackDown Superstars in reserve for an end-of-night appearance arent convincing many fans to stick around, and even some of the ones who do remain arent that into the cruiserweight scene. Even a performer who is uber-over with live crowds like Rusev (who worked a Fastlane-preview dark match with Shinsuke Nakamura in Green Bay) couldnt prevent a few sporadic, loud BORING chants from starting up during the Drew Gulak/Mark Andrews contest which opened the Mar. 6 episode of 205 Live.
The other big issue which hounds the purple brand is the reputation its built up over its 18 month life span as a cursed effort doomed to remain an undercard purgatory for smaller wrestlers. A hot crowd would go a long way to dispel that image. But its not clear 205 Live will ever take place in front of a packed house full of enthusiastic fans under the current model.

I dont know what the cost of taping in NXTs home venues of Full Sail or Center Stage would run, and I realize it might run counter to the long-term plan of making the cruiserweights a touring brand of their own. But working half-empty arenas in front of semi-interested crowds isnt going to make that vision a reality, either.
WWE needs to figure out how to get worn-out SmackDown crowds invested in 205 Live, or put 205 Live in front of something other than worn-out SmackDown crowds.

The Young Bucks Tease A Raw Tag Team Championship Match Against Sheamus & Cesaro At WrestleMania 34
He said: “Who will Step Up To #TheBar at #WrestleMania34? The Greatest Tag Team on Earth has NO worthy opponents on The Grandest Stage of Them All. This is an Open Invitation… #StepUpToTheBar.”
The Young Bucks took the chance to fuel speculation when Nick Jackson, one half of the star tag team, said he and his brother Matt will be available for a fight on April 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jackson tweeted: “We happen to have that date open…”
That is a match every WWE fan wishes to see but it will be pretty hard for management to actually put this together.

The Young Bucks are scheduled to appear for Ring of Honor the day before Mania.
The Hardy Boyz were also competing the day before WrestleMania 33 last year and still made a shock return in Orlando, Florida where they won the RAW Tag Team titles in a Fatal-4-Way Tag Team Ladder match.
But the chances of the tag team stars emulating Matt and Jeff Hardy are quite low as they are both signed to ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
According to PWInsider, The Bar will be challenged by two singles stars who will join forces in the next coming weeks.
